Since 2006 Nesconset native, Vincent Puleo has been regarded for revolutionizing the office of the Town Clerk. He has brought the office into the 21st Century, integrating efficient operating systems and an electronic records network.
In more recent years, Puleo was the recipient of Grant funding for his Intergovernmental sharing initiative, that has also been revered by the Governor. Collectively, Vincent Puleo has saved Smithtown millions in tax dollar spending going paperless.
Outside of the Office Vincent Puleo has served as a volunteer Firefighter, for more than 45 years. Since 1993, Puleo has held the title of Nesconset Fire District Fire Commissioner and is a five time chairman with the department. He is active on numerous civic and philanthropic organizations and is the President of the Nesconset Chamber of Commerce.
